Mark Donovan, 27, manager of a duty-free warehouse in South Auckland
disappeared from Mangere on June 6. Also missing were some goods and
a sum of money. Two brothers, Warren Bruce Carter, 25, and Carl
William Carter, 22 were charged with kidnapping, breaking and entering
with intent, and use of a knife. Charges of muder were added when the
body of the missing man was recovered from a shallow grave on a farm near
Port Waikato. Initial forensic investigation indicates that death was
by strangulation.
