This extremely gruesome and premeditated methamphetamine-fueled attack happened over a 9 hour period the victim was violated vaginally and anally on various occasions. Eagle committed repeated acts of digital penetration on her and forced her to have oral sex. He threatened to kill her and threatened to cut open her genitalia with a knife. Eagle was assessed as being an "very high risk" of offending in future given his refusal to accept responsibility, lack of remorse and lack of motivation to address his offending. Eagle pleaded guilty at the earliest possible stage but the evidence against him was overwhelming.

(In our opinion the minimum non-parole penalty was inadequate and should have been 20 years.)
