From the Daily News 26/02/2008
A New Plymouth jury took just three hours to decide the man known as Jack Frost was guilty of murdering Angela Deane in the city on February 1 last year. Members of Ms Deane's family wept in the public gallery of the High Court as the verdict was delivered after a seven day trial. Duncan Conrad Murray Frost aged 49, made no eye contact with any of the victim's family and only acknowledged Justice Heath after he learnt his fate. Defence counsel Susan Hughes QC told Justice Heath said she would be seeking Frost receive only the mandatory minimum non-parole period of 10 years for the murder when sentence is handed down on April 9. The officer in charge of the case, Detective Sergeant Greg Gray said he was relieved for the family who had suffered 'a long 12 months'.
