Anthony John Harbottle, 46 of Levin was connected of murdering his five year old stepdaughter, Nikita Hart by a blow to the stomach which ruptured internal organs. Harbottle was suspected of a similar offence against another child some years ago, but insufficient evidence was found to prove that the blow was the cause of the first child's death.
