"Ra O'Dowd, aged 40, had been accused of beating 29 year old Conquest Rhett Tuau to death on February 18. A neighbour 25 year old Shaun Allan Jacobs was found not guilty of murder but manslaughter. The jury took three hours to reach the verdict. Both men were remanded by Justice Gallen to the High Court at Wellington on December 15 for sentencing"
