The High Court at Rotorua heard how the unprovoked attack occurred when Nelio and his friends had been roaming the streets "up to no good" when Mr Hedley had been unfortunate to walk straight into the confrontation between the two groups. This offender was found not guilty of murder, but was convicted of manslaughter.
