On April 14th 1991, broke into a house in Napier Hill and killed a seven year old boy Simon Reaney as he was sleeping.
Also tried to kill his brother Micheal.
Breached his parole conditions upon release in 2004, arrested on a charge of committing an indecent act.

Background
Was on the run for a week before he was found in a paddock in Central Hawkes Bay.
Walked into the home of a complete stranger, stripped off his clothes and smashed two sleeping boys with a car jack. One subsequently died in hospital. Roma has also pleaded not guilty to setting fire to his own flat, unlawfully taking a car and two charges of burglary.

Tougher mandatory sentencing is need for child killers like Roma and for Life to mean Life with no chance of parole ever. We believe Roma should never have been released into society again.
