escalating violence in our community

A criminal justice watch dog organization is warning that New Zealand is a powder-keg waiting to explode and the violence in Sydney could happen here at any time.
As Sydney urgently introduces tough legislation declaring war on criminals and rioters the Sensible Sentencing Trust has issued a dire warning: "If the police do not receive substantial and vigorous support from Government and the backing of the Judiciary we face the very real possibility of similar catastrophe in New Zealand".
Trust spokesman Garth McVicar said that violence and lawlessness in most communities was now an everyday occurrence. "Most of these outlaws are laughing at the police as liberal Judges recycle them at alarming rates, crime is becoming a lifestyle choice and occupation simply because it pays and the rewards are worth the risk".
While most New Zealanders would think that riots like presently happening in Sydney could never happen here McVicar points to glaring similarities: "We have the same liberal-leaning politically-correct mentality in this country, we have a soft foreign policy and even extends the benefit-of-doubt to suspected terrorists as they mount legal challenges at the courtesy of the tax-payer".
"The police here experience the same frustrations as their Australian counterparts as a lopsided legal-system continuously funds criminal lawyers to dream up excuses to ensure their "misunderstood-had-a-hard-upbringing" clients are back out on the streets offending tomorrow".
"Both countries are losing experienced senior police officers as they realize they are fighting a losing battle against the loopy-left brigade who has spent the last forty years making excuses and looking for the "root-causes" to justify why criminals rape and murder and commit horrendous crimes".
McVicar said anyone who doubted what he was saying only had to look at the build up of violence in recent times: "Outlaws taking over our streets, violating our homes and our kids, with many elderly people scared to venture out even in daylight hours was something we never dreamed could happen. But it is and it will only get worse while we blindly continue to make excuses for the perpetrators. This whole mentality of ever-tolerant understanding and forgiveness of irrational violence has only led to more violence".
"Outlaws are outlaws and evil is evil, the answer is not difficult".
"Until we get back to the basics of accountability and responsibility then the fuse on the powder-keg will continue to burn". and McVicar says, "Don’t say you were not warned".
