“Congratulations to all concerned, the streets of New Zealand will be safer”
That was the first comment from Sensible Sentencing Trust Spokesman as the controversial ‘Three Strikes and the Max’ Bill passed its final hurdle to be passed into law.
Mr McVicar said the law would ensure repeat offenders were held to account and not simply recycled by the criminal friendly sham that had posed as a justice system in recent years.
“I realize the naysayers and liberals will be highly critical of this law but in reality this is self inflicted, they have no-one else to blame, they are simply getting their just deserts”.
“Many innocent lives have been lost needlessly as a direct result of criminal friendly policies that continuously recycled violent offenders”.
“Today’s announcement will end that nonsense; it is just a pity that the real criminals, the policy makers, are still not being held to account.”
“ David Garrett deserves a medal for this”. Mr. McVicar said referring to the ACT Party law and order spokesman who drafted and promoted the policy.
“It’s great to see National and ACT working together to crack down hard on violent offending. The public spoke loud and clear on this, they do not want criminals on the street.”
“The Sensible Sentencing Trust congratulates all concerned”
Regards,
Garth McVicar
National Spokesperson,
Sensible Sentencing Trust.
