Background
From the Dominion 21st March 2001
A Kapiti Coast man who did an unsolicited strip on Raumati Beach in front of a woman and her two daughters has been ordered to pay them $200 and get help. Mark Anderson, 39, a student of Raumati South, was convicted of indecent exposure after he stripped and exposed his genitals to a woman and her daughters on the beach on January 10. His lawyer, Paul Surridge, said Anderson had been intoxicated at the time and had serious alcohol problems. Judge Carolyn Henwood sentenced Anderson to 18 months' supervision including drug, alcohol and psychiatric counselling, any residential programme his probation officer ordered, and to reside where the probation officer told him. He was also to pay $200 to the family that saw him on the beach.
