A Wellington property developer and entrepreneur has been jailed for six years for the rape of a woman at his home. It can now be revealed that she was not the only victim of Bernard Brodie's sex crimes. The colourful 54-year-old developer, known for his dyed hair and flash cars, had earlier pleaded guilty to indecent assault and doing an indecent act with intent to offend. Both cases ended with him offering to pay thousands of dollars in reparation.

Yesterday Wellington District Court judge Denys Barry jailed him for raping the drunk and drugged woman at his home in June 2004.
