Corkill deliberately selected and groomed the young boys he abused - boys he had been trusted to care for and had unrestricted access to during church camps, bush walks and Boys Brigade outings. He is described as a “predatory paedophile” whose sexual offending had spanned 32 years and ruined dozens of lives. The victims were aged between 8 and 12. (13/10/04).
