Between August 1 and September 30 last year Harvey carried out intimate acts with a 15-year-old girl, often in the high school's sick room, but stopping short of sexual intercourse. The victim was a pupil at the school but the 31-year-old married father of two only started grooming her when the pair struck up a friendship at a community event. The girl was aged 14 years at the time.
