Eight years' jail was imposed on a New Plymouth man in the High Court in Auckland on Friday. Justice Smellie was sentencing Richard Walter Lander (34), who earlier this month had been found guilty by a New Plymouth jury of a representative charge of sexually violating a 14-year-old boy in New Plymouth between June 1 and November 14 last year.
