Background
A psychiatric report found that Miller (who pleaded guilty) was not psychotic but had psychopathic personality, and that he had a long history of "temporary heterosexual and homosexual encounters". Also of Miller's refusal to acknowledge his acts as harmful to the victims of his offending, and his past history shows real danger of re-offending. Miller's indefinite sentence was later upheld on appeal.
