Background
While in prison Taha had completed a 33 week Kia Marama treatment programme between February-September 2002. Despite this a senior psychologist still assessed him at potentially high risk of further sexual offending. In fact he admitted to sexual offending against 21 victims but many were committed when he was under 14, therefore was to young to be held criminally responsible.
