Background
From the Rotorua Daily Post 29th January 2010
A 53-year-old man who sexually assaulted two girls staying with him during school holidays has been told he will be going to jail. Fifty-three-year-old Michael Joseph Teki, unemployed, appeared in the Rotorua District Court yesterday where he pleaded guilty to four counts of unlawful sexual connection with two girls under the age of 12 at Rotorua on October 7 and 8 last year.
Teki had picked up the girls from a house outside Rotorua for them to stay at his home for a few days, the police summary of facts states. During the nights, Teki inappropriately touched them and removed one's underwear. When one girl complained, he said a "little boy" had come in the night. Judge Phillip Cooper convicted Teki and remanded him on bail for sentencing on April 16. "You will be going to prison," the judge said.
