Background
The Auckland High Court was told reports by a psychiatrist revealed Wrigley (who pleaded guilty to all charges) claimed young children were attracted to him rather than the other way around. It was noted by the psychiatrist Wrigley had some "willingness to address the possible causes for his behaviour". However he minimized aspects of his offending and showed little emotion in interviews.
